White - Problems connecting a call

Modified on Tue, 22 Sep at 10:57 AM

My call won't connect: what should I check?

  • Always dial the full international number, and make sure it's valid and working
  • Start with "00", followed by the country code and the destination number
  • For example, to call the UK from abroad, dial 0044 followed by the number
  • Check your SIM is inserted and active
  • Make sure you're using the correct call type
  • If one call doesn't go through, try another number, or check whether the number is premium-rate

Does my registered number need to match my SIM?

  • Yes. The phone number registered in the app should match the SIM card in your handset
  • This helps verify your identity and improves connection reliability

Which call type should I use?

  • Use Local access when your SIM has inclusive minutes, or when you want to route the call via your network carrier
  • Use Wi-Fi when you're on a Pay as You Go SIM with no credit, or when you want to call over an internet connection
  • Use Data when you have sufficient mobile data on your SIM or when you're abroad and only have inclusive data roaming

Can I call businesses and premium-rate numbers?

  • The app does not support premium-rate numbers
  • If you call a business with a premium-registered number, the call will not connect

How do I contact support?

  • Chat to us via our in-app chat service: the quickest way to reach us
  • Email us at ask@whitecalling.com
  • Our team is available Mon-Fri, 9-5
